This mod is useful for players with large, organized storage rooms who want to find supplies without opening containers one by one. It also helps sort items quickly while respecting normal access restrictions.
What Packrat adds
Press R to open a combined view of chests and crates within five blocks. In an enclosed storage room, Packrat can include containers even when they are not directly visible; in open spaces, each container must remain in sight.
The browser supports text and category filtering, including item names, materials, and food groups. Colored backgrounds identify the source container, while dimmed entries show items that do not match the current filter.
Clicking works like normal inventory interaction, and shift-clicking favors crates that already contain the same item before using empty crates or chests. The mod also understands single-item-type crates and displays ghost items in their unused slots.
Reinforced or locked containers remain protected: Packrat cannot access anything that the player could not open normally.
