PlayerGrave is a Vintage Story mod by Marzz06. PlayerGrave creates persistent graves that store a dead player's inventory and can mark their location with a waypoint.
Why this mod is worth installing
This utility is useful for servers where death should be recoverable without items vanishing. It also gives administrators control over ownership, access time, waypoints, and saved inventory types.
What PlayerGrave adds
When a player dies, PlayerGrave places their inventory into a persistent grave. The grave remains after restarts and can be collected by holding the right mouse button; normally, only its owner or a creative-mode player has access.
The mod can create a pinned waypoint for the grave, choose its icon and color, and remove it after the contents are recovered. Servers may also disable the standard death marker so the grave waypoint becomes the main navigation aid.
Administrators can decide whether graves exist, how many deaths are retained per player, which inventory categories are saved, and whether a grave can burn or be destroyed through health damage. A grave may become publicly accessible after a configured period.
Additional recovery options include a grave compass, armor-specific death handling, and a permission-controlled command for returning stored items. CommonLib is required because PlayerGrave uses it as a dependency.
