What Pipes and Power Expanded adds
The mod builds its machinery around connected pipe networks that transport gases and liquids. Every open connector leaks, limiting the line to roughly 1 atm, while excessive pressure can rupture iron or steel pipes and split the network. This makes capped ends, valves, outlets, and machine ports important parts of the design.
Boilers can be filled manually through their top hatch and later supplied by a fluid-pump engine. The hatch also provides emergency venting, but ignoring pressure can destroy the boiler. Steam engines operate only within their intended pressure ranges, so regulation is part of keeping the system running.
A steam engine accepts a sub-machine beneath its drive rod. Fluid pumps move liquid through the network, while mechanical power generators convert engine output into MP through axle connections. The result is a modular setup that can power equipment such as helve hammers while leaving room for larger industrial layouts.
Boilers and engines
