Why this mod is worth installing
Useful for explorers and miners who want faster prospecting without manually searching every vein or filling the map with duplicate markers. It is also convenient for multiplayer worlds where shared map organization matters.
What Prospecting Scan adds
The mod scans ore in currently loaded chunks and groups detected deposits into map markers. Repeated scans recognize existing Prospecting Scan markers, so the same ore does not create a growing stack of duplicates.
A filter window lets you limit the scan to particular materials, such as sphalerite, native copper, or cassiterite. This is useful when you are preparing for a specific crafting chain or searching for one missing resource.
Prospecting Scan markers can be removed together with a single hotkey when you want to refresh your map. An in-game material editor also lets you add, change, or delete prospecting entries without editing JSON files.
