Realistic Water is a Vintage Story mod by theblondie. Realistic Water changes how water spreads and flows, enabling player-built rivers, wetlands, dams, canals, and aqueducts.

Why this mod is worth installing
This mod suits builders and farmers who want irrigation, water control, and more believable landscapes. It is especially useful for projects where terrain should respond to dams, channels, and redirected water.
What Realistic Water adds
Water no longer behaves as a purely predetermined feature of world generation. Depending on terrain and player-made changes, flowing water can form or reshape rivers and wetlands over time.
The system supports dams that redirect rivers or drain wetlands, canals that connect lakes, and aqueducts for irrigation. A narrow channel behaves like flowing water and can dry out when separated from its source, while a wider lake extension can retain source blocks for navigable waterways.
Aqueducts do not require special parts: ordinary blocks, slabs, doors, and trapdoors can form channels and regulate flow. Long channels need occasional drops to keep water moving, and the calculations are handled outside the graphics thread to limit visual performance impact.
