What ReelMower adds
ReelMower is a crafted push cart rather than a handheld cutting item. You forge a reel blade, assemble an iron frame, carve a wooden shaft, add cloth-wrapped grips, and finish the machine by fitting the parts together. Metal choice affects the blade, while the selected wood and grip dye remain visible on the finished mower.
Place the completed mower on the ground and push it in either direction. Its wheels and geared reel animate as it works, with selectable modes for trimming grass, removing it completely, or clearing flowers, mushrooms, and ferns. The blade loses durability during use, and the mower stops when it is worn out.
The machine can be repaired visually by swapping blades, bed knives, shafts, and other components in the world. A bed knife is an optional lower cutting bar, and colored cloth grips can be dyed again later. Sneaking with an empty hand packs the mower back into an item while preserving its assembled details.
The same frame also supports alternative heads. Fit a snow auger to turn it into a push snowblower, or use the push tiller head to work grassy ground into farmland. In-game instructions explain the construction and interactions through the guide menu.
