What Rusty Shell (⚠︎ outdated) adds
Rusty Shell introduces muzzle-loading 4-pounder and 12-pounder guns, howitzers, 120 mm field guns, breech-loading artillery, and a machine gun. Weapons differ in velocity, firing direction, ammunition, and loading procedure, while a wrench allows precise placement and angle adjustment.
The arsenal includes cannonballs, bombs, grape and canister shot, reusable-casing shells, grenades, buried landmines, bagged charges, primers, and ramrods. Projectile behavior depends on speed and explosive content, so powerful shots can detonate prematurely, while rifling improves velocity and stability.
Chemical warfare adds gas that is especially dangerous in confined spaces, with gas masks requiring charcoal for their filters. Sustained bombardment can turn soil into wasteland, and ruined components, particles, sound, and screen shake reinforce the destructive atmosphere.
