What Simple Crafting Additions adds
The mod fills gaps in the vanilla recipe system rather than introducing new items. Its additions cover practical building materials and decorative objects, including leather blocks, paper lanterns, display cases, aged furniture, wooden variants, copper shingles, and clay items.
Metalworking receives broader recipe coverage as well. Metal sheets can substitute for plates in relevant recipes, while plain and riveted metal blocks, including corroded variants, gain handbook-listed crafting options using materials such as plates, sheets, or barrels.
Several recipes are designed around processing existing objects in a barrel, including aged logs, planks, debarked logs, and rotten wood variants. Aged thatch can also be turned back into grass, giving otherwise limited materials another useful purpose.
The recipes are intended to stay close to vanilla balance and are documented in the in-game handbook. The additions can be used in existing worlds because the mod does not add world-generation content.
