Scribe: Notes & Tasks is a Vintage Story mod by RaptorKhan and Junkmuffin. Scribe adds in-world notes, checklists, timers, crafting tasks, shared assignments, and a pinned HUD for tracking goals in Vintage Story.
Why this mod is worth installing
Useful for solo players who lose track of long projects and multiplayer groups coordinating work. It is a client-and-server addon that requires LibGUI on both sides.
What Scribe: Notes & Tasks adds
Scribe turns planning into physical objects and blocks. Clay and wax tablets work as compact early-game scratchpads, notebooks travel with you, while lecterns and chalkboards provide shared surfaces with synchronized editing. Notes can include checkable tasks, counters, handbook links, and crafting build lists.
The Clockmaker’s Notebook adds reminders based on real or in-game time, with a notification and sound. A Scriptorium transfers content between Scribe items and supports JSON or TSV export, while the Assignment Desk and Inbox let multiplayer players send and receive work.
Pin any task to keep it visible on the HUD, or manage all pins from the dedicated tab. Settings cover the interface theme, fonts, window and HUD sizing, completion behavior, and UI sounds; local darkness also affects readability.
What Scribe adds
The mod provides tablets, notebooks, and a lectern for keeping checklists, notes, links, counters, and crafting plans inside the world.
