Seamarks -- Beacons & Lighthouses

Why this mod is worth installing

Useful for explorers who avoid the vanilla map, sailors crossing large oceans, and builders creating believable navigation landmarks or roleplay settlements.

What Seamarks -- Beacons & Lighthouses adds

Seamarks adds two beacon families. Fire beacons use wood, coal, or peat and create a distant glow visible across several hundred blocks, making shorelines, harbors, and routes easier to recognize.

Oil lamp beacons use oils such as linseed or olive oil. Reflector plates extend their reach, while a Fresnel lens can make the signal visible thousands of blocks away. The lamp faces one direction, but mechanical power can rotate it for all-around coverage.

Beacon lights remain visible when their chunks are unloaded and after a world restart, so they work as persistent navigation marks rather than ordinary nearby light sources. Range and fuel-related behavior can be adjusted while playing through Config Lib.
