ShearLib is a Vintage Story mod by Tels and Phiwa. ShearLib is a dependency library that adds a configurable shearable behavior for animal entities. It has no standalone gameplay effect.
Why this mod is worth installing
Install it only when another mod lists ShearLib as a dependency, or when developing a mod that needs custom shearing. It is not useful as a standalone gameplay mod.
What ShearLib adds
ShearLib provides a reusable “shearable” behavior that other mods can attach to animal entities. The behavior is designed for live creatures rather than already harvested or dead entities.
A mod using this library can define up to two possible drops, set minimum and maximum quantities, and decide whether shears provide a bonus compared with using a knife. ShearLib does not alter the animals already present in Vintage Story, so another content mod must supply those changes.
