Slings Progression is a Vintage Story mod by MrFlame. Slings Progression adds six slingshots that improve from a fragile reed tool to a steel-and-Jonas master weapon.
Why this mod is worth installing
Choose it if you enjoy sling gameplay but find the vanilla sling too weak. It gives ranged combat a clearer technology path without replacing stones as ammunition.
What Slings Progression adds
The progression begins with a reed slingshot. It is quick to break, but requires no leather, making it a practical early-game weapon that can be replaced whenever needed.
A linen slingshot improves on the vanilla design and requires leather. Bronze versions move the weapon into the midgame, using bronze nails and strips made from the same bronze type; black bronze provides the highest listed damage among them.
Hard leather unlocks a much tougher and stronger option, while the Master's slingshot represents the late-game peak. It combines hard leather with steel and Jonas components and is powerful enough to bring down a wolf with only a few stones.
All added slingshots fire stones. Their listed damage receives an additional +1 from the ammunition, before any applicable class bonuses are calculated.
