What Smithing Plus adds
Smithing Plus lets you add heated metal bits to an unfinished work item, use metal bits, copper, gold, and silver nuggets, and forge with metal rods. Bits can also be recovered when splitting work on an anvil, recycling broken tool heads, chiseling suitable items, or breaking arrows.
Broken tools leave behind a head that can be repaired on an anvil or reduced to bits. The mod also improves iron bloom handling under a helve hammer, lets a hammer flip work items, and can return metal from failed quenching or cold crucibles.
The interface provides practical information during smithing: voxel totals, recipe requirements, workable temperatures, quenching and tempering hints, searchable anvil recipes, and adjustable recipe columns. The handbook also gains smithing ingredient and casting details.
Additional options cover cast-tool durability, mold metal requirements, remembered hammer modes, and dynamic recycling yields. Features can be adjusted through ConfigLib or the mod configuration file.
