Fauna of the Stone Age: Spheniscidae is a Vintage Story mod by Tentharchitect. Fauna of the Stone Age: Spheniscidae adds several penguin species to coastal ecosystems, with eggs, pelts, feathers, food and taxidermy uses.

Why this mod is worth installing
This mod suits players who want livelier polar and temperate coasts, hunt new prey, or raise penguins for useful animal products.
What Fauna of the Stone Age: Spheniscidae adds
The pack introduces aquatic, flightless penguins from the Spheniscidae family, including southern and northern rockhopper penguins and the Australian little blue penguin. They appear as ambient wildlife, prey, and a possible food source across polar, subpolar, temperate, and subtropical coasts.
Each species has its own pelt. Harvested materials can provide hide and feathers, while a complete body can be preserved as a taxidermied display. Penguins can also be domesticated through controlled breeding: keep an adult male and female of the same species nearby and feed them according to that species’ diet and breeding requirements.
Eggs normally hatch while placed as entities. Striking an egg converts it into an item for recipes, but doing so resets its generation count. Breeding gradually makes the animals less likely to attack or flee from the player, with progress determined by the mother’s generation.
