Steep and Brew is a Vintage Story mod by BlindCaesar. Steep and Brew adds a simplified tea system with a kettle, steeping jar, hot and cold infusions, and 156 herb-based drink variants.

Why this mod is worth installing
This mod suits players who want useful herbal drinks without a complicated brewing chain. It is especially valuable for survivalists using thirst, temperature, combat, or exploration buffs.
What Steep and Brew adds
Steep and Brew is a drink and food expansion built around two fired clay vessels. Place the Kettle on a lit firepit with water and one or more herbs to make hot tea in roughly half a minute. For a slower option, fill the Steeping Jar, seal it, and wait about sixteen in-game hours for cold tea.
Every harvestable vanilla flower or mushroom can become a drink, including mint, heather, catmint, mugwort, edelweiss, gold cap, lily of the valley, and fly agaric. Each ingredient has separate hot and cold versions, with effects shaped by the herb and the brewing method.
Hot teas can satisfy hunger, raise body temperature, and support combat, mining, or ranged accuracy through compound recipes. Cold teas can cool the player, restore health or hydration, and provide calming effects; mushroom drinks may cause visions or improve temporal stability, while poisonous ingredients can hurt you.
There are 20 named compound recipes made from particular herb combinations, producing a total of 156 coloured teas with individual names and effects. Drinks are served by pouring them into a cup, bowl, or bucket and sipping from the filled container; HydrateOrDiedrate integration adds thirst and temperature support when that mod is present.
