Salty's Swift Time is a Vintage Story mod by SaltyWater. Salty's Swift Time lets you fast-forward naturally timed processes while sitting, without changing your character's tiredness.
Why this mod is worth installing
Useful when waiting for barrel recipes, bow drying, and similar processes feels tedious but sleeping would disrupt your routine. On servers, the feature is intended for OP players.
What Salty's Swift Time adds
Sit down and press the Swift Time key, Enter by default, to imitate the time-passing effect of sleep. The world advances faster while your tiredness value remains unchanged, so you can continue with a normal sleep schedule afterward.
The mod applies only to mechanics that already respond to the game's natural time acceleration. It does not speed up every process: firepits and ovens, for example, remain unaffected.
In multiplayer, all non-spectator OP players must activate Swift Time before the server advances time. The mod can also be configured to work without requiring the player to sit, and chat messages or logging can be enabled or disabled.
Watching time pass while seated
The player sits down and activates Swift Time instead of sleeping. This lets a barrel recipe or another naturally timed process finish sooner without changing the character's tiredness.
