Trader Camps is a Vintage Story mod by WickedSchnitzel. Trader Camps changes trader world generation, creating small camps with two or three traders instead of mostly isolated encounters.
Why this mod is worth installing
This server-side mod suits players who want trader encounters to feel more social and useful, especially on multiplayer worlds. Clients do not need to install it.
What Trader Camps adds
Trader Camps adds a world-generation tweak that groups traders into compact camps. A camp usually contains two or three traders, giving players several trading options in one location instead of requiring a search for separate lone traders.
Single traders are not removed completely, but their appearances become less common. The result is a world where trader encounters are more likely to form recognizable meeting points while still preserving some solitary finds.
The mod works on the server side, so it can be used in multiplayer without distributing the mod to every player. Its generation choices affect newly created chunks, allowing existing explored areas to remain unchanged.
A configuration file lets server owners choose between lower, medium, or higher camp density and decide whether generated camps are claimed or unclaimed. Increasing lone-trader frequency reduces the chance of camps appearing.
