What Translocator Relocator adds
First, repair a broken translocator found in an underground ruin. The repaired device can then be mined with a steel pickaxe by default, dropping a portable translocator that can be placed wherever your travel network needs it.
Interact with a placed translocator to assign a 16-character key. Devices using the same key become linked, so stepping onto one sends you to another matching device. If several share the key, the destination is selected randomly.
The key can be changed whenever needed, and the translocator can be picked up and relocated again. This makes it possible to organize separate routes between bases, resource sites, and other important locations without rebuilding the network from scratch.
