What Untamed Wilds: Ursidae adds
The mod reworks the bear family with new models, animations, and behavior for the base-game bears, while adding sloth bears, spectacled bears, and moon bears. Their temperament differs: sloth and polar bears are especially dangerous, while other bears may ignore a nearby player when well fed unless approached too closely.
Bears search for a broader range of food, including berries, fruit, insects, meat, loose items, and trough contents. They can raid berry bushes or crops, hunt more actively, make sounds while roaming, swim at different speeds, and raise cubs; females and cubs appear less often, and cubs defend themselves if attacked.
Harvesting a bear yields a pelt rather than ordinary hides. Pelts work as floor rugs, can be converted into wall-mounted rugs, or processed with a knife into the equivalent hides. Each bear also has a craftable head mount for display on an antler or shield mount.
