Uranium Expanded (Metals and Tools) is a Vintage Story mod by Joulz. Uranium Expanded gives uranium a purpose through new alloys, tools, glass, world generation, lanterns, plaques, and an optional radiation sickness system.

Why this mod is worth installing
This mod suits players who want uranium to become a meaningful late-game resource, with stronger equipment, faintly glowing glass, exploration, and an optional survival hazard.
What Uranium Expanded (Metals and Tools) adds
Uranium ore is added to selected rock types, including granite, sandstone, shale, limestone, slate, and phyllite. Deposits are mainly underground at low to medium depths, with varied vein sizes and occasional surface clues, making prospecting and exploration worthwhile.
The mod introduces ferrous uranium and uranium steel. Ferrous uranium can produce very effective iron-tier tools with poor durability, while uranium steel is made later through cementation and provides somewhat stronger, more durable alternatives to steel. Uranium alloys are stable and do not cause fever.
Uranium glass has a very subtle glow when held or placed, and it can be shaped into bowls that retain normal bowl functionality. Decorative lanterns keep the behavior of vanilla lanterns, while uranium plaques provide another way to display the material.
The optional Uranium Fever system makes carrying radioactive uranium materials risky. A HUD bar and character statistic track exposure, which gradually harms health, reduces hunger, and can become fatal at high levels; fever fades after exposure ends. The powered Jonas Geiger Counter helps locate nearby ore through increasingly intense sounds rather than revealing blocks.
