What Vintage Canvas adds
Vintage Canvas turns painting into a hands-on crafting activity. Make linen canvases in landscape, portrait, or square shapes, place them on a matching easel, and choose a frame design with a wooden board. Large canvases provide more room for detailed artwork.
Pigments come from materials such as clay, ferns, bone, woad, and later mineral resources including malachite. Grind them in a quern, combine them with plant oils in paint jars, and use a palette to average several paint portions into new colours.
Brushes apply paint in different sizes and can also blend colours already on the canvas. Charcoal, chalk, and limestone offer quick strokes with preset colour and opacity, while turpentine thins paint or clears a brush for blending.
Fresco plaster brings the same painting approach to chiselled blocks and sculptures, allowing custom signs and decorated structures. The .vcexport command can save a viewed canvas to the game's screenshot folder, and a palette in the off-hand enables quick paint switching.
