Vintage Kinematics is a Vintage Story mod by Garward. Vintage Kinematics adds a complete kinetic factory system with power networks, belts, machines, storage, and moving industrial contraptions.

Why this mod is worth installing
This mod suits players who want visible automation, scalable production lines, and mechanical factories beyond ordinary vanilla equipment. It is especially useful for survival bases built around logistics and industrial progression.
What Vintage Kinematics adds
Vintage Kinematics uses its own power network. Hand cranks, treadwheels, counterweights, coal motors, and steam engines generate stress units that travel through shafts and gearboxes. Vanilla windmills and waterwheels can supply this network through a shaft, but power does not flow back into vanilla axles.
Production machines include crushers, querns, sawmills, sieves, forge presses, bores, and extractors. Belts, funnels, filters, and fluid pipes connect them into visible processing lines, while most machines are arranged for a clear left-or-above input and right-or-below output.
The system also supports searchable bulk storage, modular capacity cells, and filtered item routing. Rideable drilling machines, moving saws, storage platforms, and gantry equipment let factories become active constructions rather than static blocks.
Progression moves from processing common stone and automating metals toward geothermal steam power. Players can also define new kinetic machines with blocktype JSON, making the system expandable without custom block-entity programming.
