VSHUD

VSHUD

VSHUD is a Vintage Story mod by Novocain. VSHUD expands the Vintage Story client HUD with floating damage, waypoint tools, measuring, lighting checks, construction previews, and shape planning.

Why this mod is worth installing

Useful for builders, explorers, and players who want clearer combat feedback and practical client-side tools without requiring server installation.

What VSHUD adds

VSHUD adds floating damage indicators and waypoint utilities to the client. It can create waypoints after deaths, display them in the world, hide automatic death markers, and open an editor for changing waypoint details. The mod also includes commands for managing, importing, and exporting waypoint data.

A measuring tool helps compare distances, while lighting utilities show information about block light levels. A configurable clock can display selected world and player conditions, including season, temperature, rainfall, wind, temporal stability, and temporal storm information.

For construction, VSHUD previews blocks before placement and provides shape helpers for spheres, cubes, circles, domes, paths, extrusions, and outlines. Shapes can be attached, saved, loaded, or cleared, making large builds easier to plan.

The client can cache chunks as OBJ parts and export the block or entity being viewed as an OBJ mesh. It can also export the world map's interface tiles, giving players additional ways to inspect or reuse their world data.
