What VS Roofing Mod adds
Construction begins with a frame made from simple early-game materials such as sticks, firewood, bamboo, cattails, flax fibers, or papyrus. Later, boards and a hammer create larger timber frames, while metal rods offer a more advanced option.
The frame layout determines the roof geometry. Stacked or adjacent frames form different slope lengths, while perpendicular placement creates inner and outer corners. Tool modes provide standard, eave, ridge, and manual placement options when automatic inference is not enough.
Roofing is applied to completed frames with materials held in hand, and Ctrl-click adds a chiselable fill. The fill can be rotated with a wrench, while a saw can hide beams and a hammer can lock a finished block against further changes. Glass roof materials count toward glasshouse construction.
Roof frame directions
The colors indicate the approximate direction of the roof pieces: yellow elements lie mostly horizontally, while green elements run vertically. The second example uses the same principle in a more complex arrangement.
