Waterfall: SomeLiquidSourceTransport

Waterfall: SomeLiquidSourceTransport

Waterfall: SomeLiquidSourceTransport is a Vintage Story mod by Wyrmin. Waterfall makes buckets place liquid sources only inside matching flowing liquids, requiring water to be carried through channels or aqueducts.

Why this mod is worth installing

This mod suits players who find vanilla liquid transport too easy and want irrigation, canals, and aqueducts to matter. It is also useful for worlds seeking a middle ground between unrestricted placement and fully disabled liquid-source transport.

What Waterfall: SomeLiquidSourceTransport adds

Waterfall changes how handheld liquid containers work: a bucket can create a liquid source only when placed within a naturally generated or already flowing body of the same liquid. Water therefore has to be extended from existing sources instead of being created freely on any empty block.

The mod is designed as a lighter alternative to the strict NoLiquidSourceTransport setting. Its placement rules can be supplied by block attributes or customized through WaterfallConfig.json, allowing different liquids to define where their source blocks may appear.

Configuration rules take priority over defaults and can also permit placement in air when desired. The mod does not operate while the world’s NoLiquidSourceTransport setting is enabled, so it is intended for worlds using the normal transport setting.
