This mod suits builders who want windows to be part of room design and storage rather than flat decorative blocks. It is especially useful for detailed homes, shops, workshops, and protected multiplayer settlements.
What Window Display adds
Window Display replaces the limitations of ordinary pane storage with windows that can be opened and closed. Different designs use distinct mechanisms: casements swing from the centre, hinged windows open from one side or from the top and bottom, while sash windows slide. Closed windows seal the room, making them relevant during cold weather.
Each window includes a sill where items can be placed freely instead of being locked to preset slots. Decorations, containers, lanterns, candles, and other objects can be arranged with their own position and orientation. A display-unit design adds another surface for holding more items.
Every design has an edge-facing version that can be toggled with a wrench, and these deeper variants accommodate larger objects. Two- and three-block tall windows are assembled from finished short windows, then placed, opened, and broken as a single unit.
The set covers 62 combinations across 14 wood types and 11 glass colours. Rain appears on the panes according to the weather, while lanterns on the sill illuminate the room using their own colour and brightness. Land claims protect the windows and their contents, and the first chiselled design fitted into a custom window is permanently secured until the whole window is broken.
