What Window Storage [Legacy] adds

Window Storage introduces animated window blocks with opening and closing interactions. Depending on the design, open windows can allow entities and items to pass through, while casement, shutter, and tall casement variants let you control individual panes.

The built-in slots turn windows into display furniture. Place items directly into them, retrieve them with a right click, rotate displayed objects with a wrench, and switch the presentation mode for a whole group. Light-emitting items can illuminate the area from inside the window.

The mod supports vanilla wood types, aged wood variants, leaded, quartz, and plain glass. It also includes shelf, slab, and tall window variants, improved collision and glass rendering, smart placement for taller designs, and window-state effects on room insulation and perish rates.

Window Storage is a legacy mod and is no longer the actively developed version of this idea. Existing installations remain usable, while its separate successor adds broader display options and conversion recipes for moving old windows over.
