What XSkills adds
XSkills is a skills-and-abilities system built on XLib. Experience is earned by performing relevant actions, so progression follows the way you actually play rather than relying only on a separate leveling routine.
When enough experience is accumulated, the character receives an ability point. Points can be spent to raise ability tiers, allowing a playstyle to become more focused over time.
The system covers several weapon families: swords, clubs, maces and warhammers use Swordsman; spears, javelins, pikes, polearms, halberds and staves use Spearman. Bows, slings, crossbows and firearms use Archer.
A broad Tool Mastery category supports many everyday implements, including knives, pickaxes, chisels, saws, axes, hammers, wrenches, hoes, sickles, scythes and rolling pins.
