Food Preferences is a Vintage Story mod by Ashadelo. Food Preferences gives every player a personalized food profile, with bonuses, penalties, cravings, and gradual tolerance for disliked foods.

Why this mod is worth installing
Choose this mod if repeated meals feel too predictable or you want food choices to matter more in survival and roleplay. It suits players who enjoy discovering a character’s tastes instead of following one fixed diet.
What Food Preferences adds
Each food receives one of five personal ratings: Favorited, Liked, Neutral, Disliked, or Hated. The rating changes the nutrients gained from that food, from a 15% bonus for favorites to a 12.5% reduction for hated items, while neutral foods have no modifier.
Preferences are generated separately for each player and world, so discovering a useful diet becomes part of the playthrough. New foods, cooked meals, and pies can be recorded in the discovery menu opened with L by default.
A character can gradually acquire a taste for foods they dislike by eating them repeatedly. After enough in-game time, Hated foods can become Disliked and Disliked foods can become Neutral, but this process cannot turn them into liked or favorite foods.
Weekly cravings select a previously eaten food rated Neutral or better. Fulfilling one provides a temporary survival buff: improved Temporal Stability, slower hunger loss, stronger healing, and faster tool use, with the duration improving as more foods are discovered.
