Realistic Biome Generation is a Vintage Story mod by moskva. Realistic Biome Generation replaces repeating climate bands with one continuous pole-to-pole cycle and adds a latitude slider for choosing your starting region.

Why this mod is worth installing
This mod suits players who want a more believable planet layout and control over the climate where their adventure begins. It is especially useful for large worlds where repeated equators feel unnatural.
What Realistic Biome Generation adds
The world follows a single climate progression: Arctic, Subarctic, Temperate, Subtropic, Tropic, and Desert, then the sequence mirrors toward the opposite pole. This creates twelve broad climate zones in total instead of repeating biome waves across the map.
During world creation, a latitude slider lets you select the approximate climate region for your first settlement. The game initially places the player near the equator to load terrain correctly, then searches for suitable land at the selected latitude and moves the player there.
The relocation search favors land and can take some time depending on world size and performance. If no suitable area is found, it continues along the east-west axis while keeping the chosen latitude; a relocation command is available as a fallback when another mod disrupts the process.
Biome band size scales with world height, so taller worlds receive wider climate regions. Respawning follows the normal random radius unless a temporal gear spawn or a bed-based spawn system has already taken priority.
